Where the time goes
Gabriel: time goes so fast, is like I arrived yesterday. With so much going on all the time and the heat, I’m really getting tired. Need to schedule everything better. I already started to go to only one milonga per night instead of two. I also started to take the subway most of the time. It is so much cheaper and so convenient. Taxis are not what they use to be, 8 or 10 pesos. Taking a cab now from Patio Bullrich in Recoleta to Confetaria Ideal it will be 20 pesos and for longer distances, like going to Sunderland milonga, the price it will be an easy 40 pesos.
I made some great new friends. Just the other day, while at Canning milonga we met Silvana. Little I new that I met (and danced with) one of Buenos Aires’s most prominent painters. Today we went to Galleria Alvear to see her paintings. I’m not sure what was more amazing to see, the gallery itself, all the paintings in the gallery or just Silvana’s paintings. We walked out but still talking about her paintings even later while having lunch in a restaurant.
The videos that follow are just some moments from wondering around the city.
