Hot, hot, hot
Time goes fast and it is already February. The temperatures where quite constant, from 35 degrees to 39 degrees. In fact, the last three days Buenos Aires had a wave of 38 degrees and at the milongas people were dripping with sweat.
Usually at any milonga tango dancers come and stay from three to five hours but now because of the heat a majority of people leave after three hours or even less. I have three more weeks of great dancing. I made a lot of wonderful friends which I’m sure I’ll miss when returning to Vancouver.
For the male dancers in Vancouver in case you’re looking for tango shoes, something I heard first from my friend Lucio. You don’t have to look far to buy them. Rino’s shoes, in Vancouver, are very well made shoes and if you’re not convinced yet, while having a class with Francisco Forquera, he just told me that he ordered six pairs from Rino for his next shows.
If you are a bit more than a month here you can feel the transition when lots of foreigners leave and new ones are coming.
I’m really glad that Linda Lee will be here. Somehow I’m starting to miss Vancouver. I’m glad that is so much going on in Vancouver, tango related.
Starting with Angel Coria’s workshops and having tango festivals for the first time.
Wish everybody well and happy dancing.
